Full Description

In accordance with OD68538, the contractor shall perform the following Fire Control System (FCS) Subsystem design studies -Investigation Operating System (OS) migration from VXWorks 5.5 to VXWorks 6.x. -Development of a common CPU module for the SSBN Replacement Fire Control system -Investigations to reduce the complexity of the integrated Video architecture. -These efforts shall align with the future vision of the Fire Control System architecture. Evaluation of the impact of wireless communication on equipment within the Missile Compartment (MC) and Missile Control Center (MCC) with respect MIL-STD-61F and MILSTD-464C Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the United States and United Kingdom TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
