Full Description

The National Institute of Mental Health requires a standard speed pockels cell module for laser modulation needed for imaging application such as multi-point scanning. Also required is a second high speed pockels cell module for high speed laser modulation needed to control the beam path used for optogenetic stimulation. The voltage-controlled wave plates are necessary components for the laser beam path for 2-photon imaging. The Pockels cell and driver allow fast modulation of laser power, which is needed for imaging applications such as multi-point scanning, which significantly increases the frame rate achievable with the current system and reduces phototoxicity and bleaching in samples.
