Starlink Satellite Services

Shared Services Canada (SSC) has a requirement for the provision and operation of Starlink Low Earth Orbiting 2-way satellite communication services as provided by SpaceX Canada Corp. (“Starlink”) hereafter, on an as-and-when required basis for use by SSC and its partner organizations / clients. The Starlink services are categorised by its high-speed, low-latency, shared capacity service plans with priority access, global coverage, including Canada with its northern and coastal regions.  Use of the Internet to provide connectivity between the Starlink point-of-presence(s) (PoP) and the end user locations.  Also, as another characteristic feature, Starlink utilizes Ku-band for the user link (remote user terminal to the satellite and vise-versa) and Ka-Band for the feeder link (satellite to the gateway earth station and vise-versa). The Starlink satellite communication services are to be used to complement the SSC’s, Satellite Services portfolio and primarily for semi-permanent / fixed land applications, but not excluding the possibility of aeronautical, land on the move and maritime applications. SSC Starlink Satellite Services- Amendment 001
