The required Aptima CT/NG Assay supplies and reagents are compatible with the Tigris DTS system already in place at WAMC. This renewal will allow for in vitro diagnostic molecular testing assays for Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae to continue. The supplies are proprietary to Hologic, Inc. If award of the contract is made to a different contractor, the contractor would have to install a brand new machine that must be inspected by the Medical Maintenance Department before it can be utilized by WAMC Pathology Department. Without these supplies there will be delays in patient care.
