AI Contract Overview
This contract specifies the procurement of 30 fluid valves identified by NSN 4820-01-235-4466 under solicitation SPE7MC-26-T-158Y, with delivery required within 84 days of award to the DLA Distribution facility in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The valves are classified as a critical application item and must comply with stringent technical and quality standards referenced in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, including packaging and marking requirements per MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, with special oxygen clean packaging protocols enforced under IP042. All items must be unit packed in D3 containers with specific preservation methods, and palletization must adhere to DLA packaging guidelines. The delivery is FOB origin with zero variance permitted in quantity, and inspection and acceptance occur at the destination. Strict prohibitions ban the intentional use of mercury or mercury-containing compounds except in approved functional applications such as batteries, sensors, or naval-specified instruments, with portable mercury-containing devices requiring shockproof design and secondary containment. Ozone-depleting chemicals are entirely prohibited, and any substitute materials require prior approval. The contract mandates full compliance with all applicable DLA directives, including special marking code ZZ for unique requirements, and shipment must follow DLAD procedural notes C19 and C20. The awarded contract has a firm delivery deadline of January 2, 2027, with an original ship date of November 3, 2026, and the point of contact is Paula McClary at DLA.
