Description:
The National Research Council Canada (NRC) requires a Stereo Particle Image Velocimetry System with Option to Perform Smoke Image Velocimetry. This measurement system is a laser system that allows the measurements all components of velocities and its statistics of fires and smoke, when applied appropriately. This laser system uses two laser sheets to measure all three components of velocity. Additionally, part of this system should have the ability to do smoke visualization. Currently, single-component invasive methods (hot-wires) are used, PIV is a non-invasive three-component measurement method, which can also be used inside fires and smoke. This system will bolter current research methods, especially in projects where accurate measurements of the local properties are needed.
All the deliverables must be received on or before March 31, 2025.
