Strategic Plan Tracking Software

Organizations like the City of Chesapeake use strategic planning to define goals and outline a path to reach those goals. All actions taken by the City should align with the Strategic Plan. The software should use these anchors to measure how the plan will meet outcomes. One Vision The City Manager works with the City Council to develop a vision statement for the City. Council's vision for the City was used to develop the Strategic Plan, which helps the City work towards achieving it. Three Strategic Anchors Surrounding it in light gray are the Strategic Anchors. The City used the City's Vision and CARES standards to develop the Strategic Anchors. We anchor to these three principles to inform and evaluate every decision made by the organization. Six Desired Outcomes Finally, the Desired Outcomes are listed in the outer ring. The first five Desired Outcomes (Connectivity, Cultural Diversity, Economic Prosperity, Environmental Responsibility, and Safety & Security) are each a facet of the Council's Vision. The sixth Desired Outcome (Accountability) is the way in which the City Manager and staff work to achieve the objectives in the Strategic Plan. Current State: Forms are created and filled out by individuals; Documents are uploaded to an internal website; Columns show when a document is modified and who modified it; Requires drilling into each form for completeness. Requires the individual to manually update the form and re-upload to the internal website.
