THE UNIVERSITY OF AKRON IS SEEKING PROPOSALS for String Bowling AS PER THE SPECIFICATIONS LISTED HEREIN Pre-Bed meeting: Thursday, July 30th at 11am at the Department of Purchasing Conference Room, 1st Floor, 250 S. Forge Street, Akron, Ohio 44325-9001. 1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION All proposals should be submitted on or before 2:00 P.M. Local time on August 6th, 2026, via Workday Strategic Sourcing. All questions are to be submitted through Workday Strategic Sourcing, Bidders are not to contact the University department directly, in person, by telephone, or by email concerning this RFP. The University of Akron reserves the right to select one, several, or none of the proposals submitted as identified in Section 3.7 of our General Terms and Conditions. The University of Akron is committed to meeting level A and level AA criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 or higher. Vendors providing web-accessible systems must share their Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) with the University. Additional information regarding The University of Akron is available here. 1.1 ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF AKRON The University of Akron (UA) is one of the highest ranked public urban research universities in Ohio and the Midwest. To learn more about The University of Akron, visit www.uakron.edu. 2.0 SCOPE The University of Akron is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to install a string bowling system in the Roo Lounge. The vendor does not need to remove the current equipment. The selected vendor shall provide a complete string bowling system, including all equipment, software, and services necessary to deliver a fully operational solution, including, at a minimum: · Full-size string bowling pins. · Ball return system. · Lane lighting and related lighting components. · Renewal of the Conqueror software subscription. To ensure the University's continued ability to host bowling tournaments, the selected vendor must meet all applicable certification requirements established by the United States Bowling Congress and the International Bowling Federation. Vendors shall provide documentation demonstrating compliance with these certification standards as part of their proposal. The work is requested to be started on December 14th, 2026, and completed by January 25th, 2027. 2.1 TRADE SECRET INFORMATION All proposers are strongly discouraged from including in a response any information that the proposer considers to be a trade secret, as that term is defined in Section 1333.61(D) of the Ohio Revised Code. All information submitted in response to this RFP is public information once the selection process has concluded, unless a statutory exception exists that exempts it from public release. However, if any information in the response is to be treated as a trade secret, the proposer must include a separate page that lists each page in the response that includes trade secret information and the number of occurrences of trade secret information on that page. Page 18 of 21 www.OhioAttorneyGeneral.gov Proposer must clearly identify each and every occurrence of the trade secret information within the response with an asterisk before and after each line containing trade secret information and underline the trade secret information itself. General language in the footer of the response, such as “this document contains confidential proprietary information and may not be disclosed,” is not an acceptable identification of trade secret information and will not be honored by the AGO. 3.0 PROPOSAL PRICING Prices submitted in USD and F.O.B. Destination, freight pre-paid. (Vendor pays all freight)
