This contract involves a structural inspection of Building F at the Gallup Indian Medical Center, a 5,682 square foot office facility constructed in 1965. The building is currently experiencing structural issues, specifically cracking and minor buckling of the interior perimeter walls on the first floor north side. A structural engineer is required to conduct a site visit, meet with Indian Health Service personnel, and perform a thorough inspection to identify the cause of these foundation problems. The selected engineer must deliver a detailed inspection report within 30 days of receiving the purchase order, which must include findings, conclusions, recommended repair alternatives, cost estimates, and a proposed schedule. Additionally, the engineer may be asked to provide optional services, including geotechnical investigations and the development of full construction documents, which would encompass construction administration, periodic onsite inspections, and the delivery of final as-built documents.
