AI Contract Overview
The contract involves the procurement of 797 units of a plain stud with NSN 5307-01-374-7076 under solicitation SPE4A6-26-T-06AZ, with delivery required within 171 days to the DLA Distribution facility in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The item is classified as a critical application item and must comply with stringent technical and quality standards referenced from the DLA Master List, including MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 for sampling, with zero non-conformances required unless otherwise specified. Verification levels and AQLs are defined for critical, major, and minor attributes, and manufacturers may choose between attribute or variable inspection methods. The product must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E packaging standards, MIL-STD-129 marking requirements, and DLA packaging guidelines, with no mercury or mercury compounds permitted in preservation, packaging, or direct contact with the hardware except in specified exceptions like batteries or controlled instruments, which must include secondary containment per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2 self-assessment is required, and all documentation must align with the version of the DLA Master List in effect on the solicitation issue date. The item is to be delivered FOB origin with no variance permitted in quantity, and inspection and acceptance occur at the destination. Packaging must be palletized per DLA requirements, with unit containers marked as D3 and intermediate containers labeled AAA, using the U pack code. Special marking is not required. The contract enforces removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies and includes tailored higher-level quality requirements for both manufacturers and non-manufacturers. The delivery address, shipping instructions, and transportation protocols are fully defined through DLA procedural notes C19 and C20. The contract was solicited on July 14, 2026, with responses due by July 22, 2026, under the NAICS code 332722, issued by the Department of Defense’s ASC Commodities Division, with David Williams as the primary point of contact. The original required delivery date is April 7, 2027, with a needed ship date of January 10, 2027.
