Supply & Installation of Make-up Air Unit at 700 Cathcart Blvd.

The scope of work required under this request includes the safe and efficient removal of the existing make-up air unit and the supply and installation of a replacement make-up air unit complete with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). It should provide an equivalent amount of CFM as the current unit. · Remove existing HVAC unit and install new HVAC unit · Disconnect and re-work existing power feed as required · Disconnect and re-work existing gas piping as required · Re-paint existing exterior gas lines "from meter outlet" to "mechanical unit/ mechanical room". (2 Lines see photos) · Re-located exterior hose bib 4-5' to the east. Provide new frost free hose bib. · Remove existing surface mounted steel bollards and reinstall once make-up air unit is installed. · Extend section of sidewalk in front of the new M.U.A. unit in order to provide access around unit (see drawing). The new unit is to be Engineered Air Model DJE-40-0-R indirect fired make up air unit to deliver 4000 cfm and provide an 72 deg temperature rise complete with: · Insulated Casing · 22ga solid liner within air tunnel · Hinged access doors with lever handles and locking hasp · Inlet hood with birdscreen · Inlet damper with two position operators · Filter section complete with 2" filters in metal frames · Internally isolated supply air blower and 5 hp motor c/w VFD · Engineered Air 15:1 high turndown burner/heat exchanger assembly at 7" w.c. · Stainless steel drum and tube heat exchanger (80% nominal efficiency) · Solid state discharge air control · Top discharge configuration per attached preliminary sketch · Ensure wall penetrations are weather tight · Remote panel complete with: 1. Unit on/off switch and light 2. Heat on/off switch and light 3. Remote discharge air temperature set point adjustment · The Final H.V.A.C. system shall be tested and balanced in accordance with the latest A.A.B.C. and or N.E.B.B. Standards The work must commence and be completed in accordance with the SCHEDULE OF EVENTS. The work required includes the complete replacement of the current make up air system at 700 Cathcart. Components which are obviously necessary for the system to function, yet missing from the scope of work listed must be brought to the attention of the County of Lambton prior to bids closing. The successful bidder will be required remove existing external ductwork and supply and install new external ductwork. New exterior ductwork shall be insulated with 2" thick Manson AK Flex insulation finish with venture class 1577 CW self-adhering water proofing jacketing. The successful bidder will be required to coordinate the safe movement of the existing and new units to and from the HVAC housekeeping pad. The cost for any crane/ boom rentals and all associated activities must be included in the price submitted. The County requires that the work be completed expeditiously. Once the project has been commenced, the successful contractor must work diligently and without undue delay to complete the work. The successful bidder will be required to oversee and coordinate with the County's electrician for all related work - Hillier Electric- Include a $5000.00 Cash allowance for the electrical scope of work. The electrical work will be completed out of the electrical allowance. See tender form
