Addendum 1 - January 6, 2026The Local Government is committed to enhancing public safety through the strategic deployment of outdoor camera infrastructure in public spaces. These systems support law enforcement, emergency response, and community well-being by providing real-time visibility into key areas across the city.In Phase I, the Local Government installed a network of outdoor public safety cameras on a closed network. This system is built on:- Milestone XProtect Video Management Software- A Cambium Networks radio backhaul communication infrastructure- Standardizing on the use of Axis camerasThese technologies were selected for their reliability, scalability, security, and compatibility with municipal operations and emergency services.Building on the success of Phase I, the Local Government is now preparing to launch Phase II of its public safety camera program. This phase will focus on expanding coverage into trail networks and other public spaces, with the installation of 10 to 15 new cameras during 2025-2026, and additional deployments anticipated over the next five years as required.This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks a qualified Proponent to supply, install, and configure public safety cameras and associated wireless communication equipment for Phase II. The selected Supplier will play a critical role in extending the Local Government's public safety infrastructure.Public safety cameras serve as a vital tool in modern urban management. They assist in:- Enhancing community safety and emergency response- Supporting police investigations and evidence gathering- Monitoring high-traffic and high-risk areas- Promoting public confidence in civic infrastructureThe Local Government's approach emphasizes privacy protection, technical excellence, system security, and rapid response capability. Proponents must demonstrate proficiency in deploying outdoor wireless systems, integrating with existing infrastructure, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
