Solicitation # W8482-264719/A
The Department of National Defence has issued solicitation W8482-264719/A for the procurement of controllable pitch propeller parts, including gasket and preformed packing sets, hydraulic swivel joints, and electrical motor adapters. These items, primarily sourced from Andritz Hydro GmbH, are to be delivered to CFB Halifax and CFB Esquimalt. Bidders must provide firm pricing and specify the part number and NCAGE for all offered items. While the original parts are specified, the Crown will consider equivalent or substitute products provided the brand, model, and NCAGE are disclosed and existing third-party warranties remain unaffected. The procurement process involves a binary compliant or non-compliant technical evaluation based on mandatory criteria, with the potential for negotiation to ensure best value if only one compliant offer is received. Contractors must adhere to strict packaging and marking standards based on their region, utilizing MIL-STD-2073 for US firms, NATO TL8100-0100 for EU firms, or Canadian Forces specification D-LM-008-001/SF-001. Additionally, the contract mandates compliance with the Controlled Goods Program, bilingual Safety Data Sheets for hazardous materials, and adherence to green procurement policies regarding recyclable packaging. Submissions are due by November 4, 2026, at 14:00 EDT via ePost or fax.

Effective 29 June 2018, vendors creating or updating their registration can have their registration activated prior to the approval of the required notarized letter. However, the signed copy of the notarized letter must be sent to the GSA Federal Service Desk (FSD) within 30 days of activation or the vendor risks no longer being active in SAM. Vendors can check whether an account is active by performing a query by their CAGE or Unique Entity Identifier (formerly known as DUNS). The new registration process may now take several weeks, so vendors are highly encouraged to begin registering as soon as possible to avoid any possible delays in future contract awards. Remember, there is no cost to use SAM. To find out additional information about the changes of the SAM registration process, contractors should visit the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) link located at the top of the SAM homepage (www.sam.gov).

Design-Build Maintenance and Repair Army Reserve (MRAR) of Equipment Concentration Site (ECS), B-56767, at North Fort Hood, TX
Solicitation # W912QR25RA013
Solicitation No. W912QR25RA013 is a two-phase Design-Build procurement issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, for the repair and expansion of the Equipment Concentration Site (ECS), Building 56767, at North Fort Cavazos, Texas. This total small business set-aside project involves renovating approximately 26,000 square feet of a failing maintenance facility. The scope of work includes repairing HVAC and electrical systems, replacing the roof and insulation, restoring non-code compliant bathrooms and showers, and removing non-structural interior walls to create flexible workspaces. Additionally, the project requires the installation of ABA-compliant entrance and curb ramps, the implementation of a code-compliant fire alarm and suppression system—specifically requiring Monaco Enterprises Incorporated equipment for network compatibility—and ensuring the facility meets minimum DOD Antiterrorism standards. The contract is a Firm-Fixed-Price award with an estimated construction magnitude between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000, funded by FY25 Operations and Maintenance Army Reserves funds. The estimated duration of performance is 913 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Selection is based on a Best-Value Tradeoff process, where Phase I evaluates technical approach and past performance to select five qualified offerors for Phase II. Phase II evaluation focuses on the design narrative, management plan, schedule narrative, and price. Award is subject to the availability of funds and requires offerors to maintain active registration in the System for Award Management and comply with NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity standards.
