AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory is proposing to award a sole-source contract to Unison Solutions, Inc. for the procurement of the Warpstone Technologies Supply Chain Threat Intelligence & Remediation software platform, a specialized tool designed to ingest Software Bills of Materials and perform deep dependency analysis across a broad range of software artifacts including binaries, libraries, components, and containers. Unlike other platforms that focus narrowly on containerized environments, Warpstone provides a holistic view of software supply chain risks with unique capabilities in vulnerability tracking and actionable remediation, enabling enterprise-wide risk management and advancement of Zero Trust security posture. The software is identified as commercially available from only one responsible source, with no alternative solutions meeting the Government’s requirements, particularly due to its non-proprietary access code and comprehensive remediation focus. The contract will include a base year with one optional year and is subject to the NAICS code 513210 for Software Publishers, with a small business size standard of $47 million in average annual revenue. Although this notice is not a solicitation and does not invite competitive bids, responsible sources may submit capability statements or quotes by the August 3, 2026 deadline for consideration, provided they demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would benefit the Government. All submissions will be evaluated at the Government’s discretion, but no award is anticipated unless the sole-source determination is upheld. The anticipated award date is on or before August 31, 2026, and inquiries should be directed to the designated point of contact listed in the notice.

The Warpstone software tool is available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Warpstone is the only company taking a wholistic look at software supply chain risk management without a container focus. Warpstone’s novel tracking system for vulnerabilities that will enable actionable insights which improve security posture and accelerate Zero Trust capabilities. Warpstone's product will expand capabilities from only being able to assess containers to more types of artifacts. Including software binaries, libraries, software components, and containers.
