AI Contract Overview
This contract covers the supply of a pelvic trauma orthotic device, specifically an olive drab fabric belt with a plastic/Velcro mechanical pulley system designed for the rapid, safe, and effective initial treatment of pelvic fractures. The contract requires the product to be packaged commercially in sealed containers that protect against damage, with appropriate marking according to Medical Marking Standard No. 1 rather than previous military standards. Each unit is individually packaged and shipped in commercial exterior containers suitable for safe transport and delivery to the specified location. The solicitation calls for 2 units of the device under NSN 6515-01-526-1175, with a delivery deadline of 20 days after the award. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense, specifically the Medical Supply Chain MD Surg FSF, with performance at Fort Carson. Suppliers must specify their source and part numbers and comply with technical and quality requirements as detailed in the DLA Master List. The procurement references procedures for packaging, marking, and the removal of government identification from rejected supplies, ensuring compliance with standardized federal acquisition guidelines for medical equipment.
