WMATA plans to procure approximately 15,000 square feet of surface-applied truncated dome tiles to be installed across five above-ground Metrorail stations: Grosvenor-Strathmore, Braddock Rd, Eisenhower Ave, Landover, and West Hyattsville. Each station will receive roughly 3,000 square feet of ADA-compliant tiles, inclusive of a 600-square-foot allowance for wastage and spares. The tiles must meet strict performance standards, including minimum compressive strength of 26,000 PSI, flexural strength of 25,000 PSI, a water absorption rate below 0.10%, slip resistance coefficient of at least 0.8, tensile strength of 11,000 PSI, and compliance with AASHTO H20 testing. The material is specified as molded glass- and carbon-fiber-reinforced polyester in a deep red color that provides at least 70% contrast with the platform's granite edge and is UV stable. Each rectangular panel measures 24 by 36 inches with beveled edges and slip-resistant treatment, incorporating ADA-compliant dome spacing and requiring secure fastening via eight countersunk holes. Deliveries will be split into two shipments: 8,000 square feet within 60 calendar days of Notice to Proceed (NTP) and 7,000 square feet within 90 calendar days of NTP, to be delivered FOB destination to WMATA facilities. WMATA intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) within approximately 10 working days, with a short proposal timeline. IFB documents will be posted electronically on WMATA's procurement website and FEDBIZOPS.gov, with no hard copies mailed. All acquisition inquiries and correspondence should be directed to Guzel Gufranova, the designated contract administrator, whose contact information is provided. Interested bidders are encouraged, though not required, to submit company details via email to facilitate receipt of updates related to the solicitation.
