Surge Tanks

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division is soliciting eight surge tanks under a firm fixed price purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, with the solicitation number N0017426Q1051 and NAICS code 332420, subject to a business size standard of 750 employees. This acquisition is open to full and open competition and will be evaluated using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable method, where technical compliance serves as a pass/fail gate before price is considered. The surge tanks must meet specific technical requirements including a 10kpsi pressure rating, construction from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, a capacity of 2.5 gallons plus or minus 0.25 gallons, and the inclusion of one 9/16” MP port. The tanks must not be spherical, should be at least twice as long as they are wide, and are designed to withstand exposure to rocket exhaust gases including hydrofluoric acid, with an operating temperature range of 32°F to 120°F. No drawings or blueprints will be provided, and the government will handle installation; lifting eyes and ASME certification are not required. All proposals must include a cover sheet on company letterhead with the official company name, DUNS number, Cage Code, lead time, and point of contact information. Offerors are required to comply with FAR clauses 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, and 52.212-4, and must provide verification or certification for all technical specifications. Proposals must be submitted via email by June 5th, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST, with questions due by May 28th, 2026, at the same time. The contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced responsive offer that meets all technical criteria, without discussions unless the Contracting Officer determines otherwise.
