Full Description

The proposed action is a contract for Zevo SD DEGEN implants and Instruments, CD Horizon Solera Instruments, CD Horizon Solera implants, Capstone PTC 22 MM and 26MM implants, Capstone PTC 32MM implants, Capstone PTC instrument set, and Posterior Microscope instruments for a surgical team to perform a follow-up spinal surgery. The procedures in FAR subpart 13.5 will be implemented for this requirement; as an urgent and compelling for an emergency spinal surgery follow-up for three patients that cannot be moved without causing injury or further damage to the patients. Further absence of the immediate follow-up procedure would result in unacceptable delays rendering irreversible damage to the patients and since the first procedures products and implants from Medtronic were used, the recommendation from the surgeons is to use the same manufacturer in case products/implants are determined to be used for the follow-up procedure. MMD will return unused instruments and implant sets to the contractor upon the completion of the emergency surgical procedures. Once instruments and implant sets are returned to the contractor, the Government will only be charged for instruments and implants used.
