NOTICE OF AWARD AND NOT A SOLICITATION THIS SYNOPSIS IS POSTED TO ANNOUNCE AWARD OF THE CONTRACTS LISTED BELOW. THIS IS ALSO TO NOTIFY FUTURE PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS TO LET US KNOW IF THEY ARE QUALIFIED AND INTERESTED TO PARTICIPATE IN SIMILAR FUTURE SOLICITATIONS. ANNOUNCEMENT: THE WALTER REED NATIONAL MILITARY MEDICAL CENTER (WRNMMC) ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT, BETHESDA, MD ON BEHALF OF THE CLINICAL, SURGICAL AND PATIENT SUPPORT SERVICES OF THE HOSPITAL IS ISSUING THIS NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE PROCURNMENT AWARD UNDER URGENT AND COMPELLING CIRCUMSTANCES TO MEET THE HOSPITAL'S NEEDS FOR SERVICES AND/OR SUPPLIES SPECIFIED BY THE DEPARTMENTS AND DOCTORS BASED ON SPECIFIC SURGICAL AND CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS.UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES (SAP) CONTRACTS 13-F-3683 IS AWARDEDTHERMOFISHER. THE CONTRACT IS AWARDED BASED ON BEST INTEREST OF THE GOVERNMENT USING BEST VALUE ASSESSMENT AS PIMARY AND PRICE AS SECONDARY FACTORS OF AWARD. THE CONTRACT ACTIONS ARE FOR SUPPLIES OR SERVICS FOR WHICH AFTER REVIEWING CASE BY CASE THE GOVERNMENT DETERMINED TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE. UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.301 ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE AND NO OTHER SUPPLIES OR SERVICES WILL SATISFY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS. THEREFORE, THIS IS A NOTICE OF AWARD AND NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETIVE PRICE QUOTE. A DETERMINATION BY THE GOVERNMENT NOT TO SEEK COMPETETIVE QUOTE ON THIS PROCUREMENT HAS BEEN MADE AND ANY RESPONSE TO THIS NOICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT. END OF NOTICE.
