All equipment must be refurbished to meet strict performance standards including laser safety, operation on unimproved dirt runways, the ability to execute 90-degree turns, and rapid acceleration and deceleration. Trailers and UGVs must be built for use in remote and austere environments, incorporate mounting points for GoPro cameras, and feature easily replaceable exterior surfaces. The contractor is responsible for providing all personnel—including a dedicated mechanic and a test representative—along with facilities, materials, and logistics for the entire effort. Equipment must be transported to the test site one week prior to the test and fully removed, along with all debris, immediately after completion.
