The MIDS SF3 radio is expected to handle at least SECRET and below data and attain CHVP NSA certification. It is required that the MIDS WDL SF3 design employs embedded cryptographic engines, and it is required that the cryptographic capability is software configurable and capable of hosting software-defined Cryptographic Equipment Algorithms (CEA) and networking waveform Communications Security (COMSEC)/ Transmission Security (TRANSEC) algorithms. It is required that the Software Defined Radio (SDR) be capable of certified operation with different classification levels.
