AI Contract Overview
This contract is for the procurement of two units of a switch module, part number 10648SS2-3, with the National Stock Number 1440-01-047-7630. The items are designated as critical application materials and are to be delivered to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution facility in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The delivery timeframe is specified as 67 days from the order date, with an original required delivery date of March 30, 2026, and a needed ship date of May 30, 2026. Inspection and acceptance are to be conducted at the origin, and the delivery terms are FOB origin. Packaging, marking, and preservation must comply with stringent military standards including MIL-STD-129 for marking and MIL-STD-2073-1E for packaging, with additional requirements prohibiting the use of mercury or mercury-containing compounds unless specified exceptions apply. The contract incorporates several technical and quality requirements as per the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, emphasizing higher-level contract quality, including tailored inspection procedures aligned with MIL-STD-1916 or comparable sampling plans. Cybersecurity compliance requires a CMMC Level 2 self-assessment. Special attention is given to the prohibition of mercury in packaging and supplied hardware, with enforcement through specified preservation and packaging directives. The acquisition does not impose shelf life limitations on the material. The solicitation is managed by the ASC Commodities Division of the Department of Defense, with Lisa Harvie as the primary point of contact. This ensures adherence to federal standards and emphasizes quality assurance and controlled delivery to support defense applications.
