The Department of Defense is conducting a Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified contractors capable of providing removal, installation, and integration services for switchboards and Motor Control Center (MCC) panels at the ALTESS Data Center located within the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Radford, Virginia. This notice is for market research purposes only and not a solicitation for bids or proposals. The project involves replacing existing Westinghouse and GE fused switchboards and MCC panels in two separate rooms (RM 119 and RM 241) with customized Eaton (or equivalent) equipment. The contractor is responsible for carefully removing the old equipment, maintaining the operation of critical systems such as hot water pumps, sewer ejection compressors, and lighting feeds, and reinstalling all control wiring and monitoring system components that support the Trane Building Automation System (BAS) and Schneider Electric StruxureWare. All work affecting power feeds to lighting panels will be required to occur after hours or on weekends to prevent downtime during facility operations. The contractor must also conduct comprehensive arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies for the entire facility, including the new equipment, and handle proper disposal of all removed components at approved locations. The anticipated contract performance period runs from July 2026 through June 2027. Interested firms, including small and socio-economically qualified businesses, are invited to submit capability statements that demonstrate their ability to meet technical requirements, provide certified Trane Authorized Controls technicians for BAS integration and functional testing, comply with security requirements at the facility, and conduct after-hours work as needed. Responses should be concise, submitted in PDF or Word format, and not exceed ten pages. The submission deadline is May 21, 2026, with communications directed to designated contracting personnel at the Fort Lee office. The Government will use received information solely for acquisition planning and strategy development.
