Slippery Rock University, of the PA State System of Higher Education invites Contractors to download bid documents for this project. Work for the Project shall be accomplished by Separate Prime Contractors according to Pennsylvania statute. The Lead Prime Contractor shall be the Mechanical Contractor. Specific instructions for coordination and responsibilities of the Lead Prime Contractor are contained in Section 01 31 00, Project Management and Coordination, and elsewhere throughout the Contract Documents. Work included under this Project consists of the replacement of two (2) air-handling units, AHU-B, located in the 1st floor fan room, and AHU-D (PRE-PURCHASED BY THE UNIVERSITY), located in the 2nd floor fan room, along with their associated return fans, RF-B and RF-D, replacement of the existing chilled water circulation pump, CWP-1 (located in the ground floor mechanical room), and installation of a second chilled water circulation pump in the ground floor mechanical room and all associated electrical and piping scope and control upgrades required to support the Work. New VFDs shall be provided for all new equipment as part of the work. Work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete all Construction to the satisfaction of the University, and subject to approval of the Professional and State System of Higher Education. A Pre-bid conference, with site visit to follow, will be held on March 20, 2025, at 10AM, at the Facilities & Planning Conference Room,100 Building & Grounds Drive, Slippery Rock PA, 16057. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory but highly recommended. Electronic Bids are due no later than 1:00 PM, EST on April 11, 2025, through PennBid located at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com. The Bid package is available at no cost via PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/ In order to submit a proposal, interested bidders need to register with PennBid.
