Synopsis for Sole Source Valve Grinder Aquisition

This is a sole source synopsis for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement; and is issued for notification purposes only. Any interested party should contact the below named for more information regarding this posting, all correspondence shall be received no later than 1 December 2011 at 2:00 p.m. MST. The Operational Contracting Office (21 CONS/LGCBA), Peterson AFB, CO., intends to negotiate a sole-source contract to purchase a Chris-Marine valve grinder from KE Marine Inc. The contractor shall provide the valve grinding machine to Cavalier Air Force Station (AFS) in order to be used in conjunction with an already on-site Chris-Marine valve cutter creating 100% compatibility and functionality for the maintenance, rebuild and repair of mission critical generators. This sole source procurement is being awarded to KE Marine, Inc. as they are the only known authorized U.S. distributor of Chris-Marine products. The attached sole source justification further details the specific purpose and necessity for this acquisition. Evaluation of Proposals: Award will be conducted under the provisions of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items and FAR 13.5, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The responsible offerors must be registered in the Certifications and Representations database (available at: http://orca.bpn.gov/) system per FAR 52.212-3. Offerors must also be registered in the Central Contractor Registrations database (available at: www.ccr.gov) per FAR. Lack of registration in CCR will qualify contractor as ineligible for award.
