System Integration and Coordination Tasks for PCD refresh and SSPDMS

The contract involves the contractor providing comprehensive system-level coordination and integration services to support the successful deployment of refreshed SWSMIN and AMIN Portable Computer Devices (PCDs) as part of the Trident II Fire Control System and Attack Weapon Control System tasking. Key responsibilities include developing, coordinating, and maintaining Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) for the PCD refresh, conducting verification testing and proofing of descriptive and procedural documentation, integrating content from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), and defining and executing system integration tests. Additionally, the contractor will perform engineering verification tests on legacy applications running on the refreshed PCDs and facilitate coordination between the Shipboard Strategic Program Development and Maintenance System (SSPDMS) and Strategic Data System (SDS) development efforts. Negotiations for this work will be held with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) in Pittsfield, MA, the sole manufacturer of the Trident (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System Fire Control and Attack Weapons Control Systems. GDAIS possesses the exclusive expertise and capabilities necessary to execute the tasks successfully. The contract's scope emphasizes ensuring the seamless integration and fielding of upgraded computing platforms critical to the strategic weapons system’s operational effectiveness, with coordination handled through the designated Administrative Contracting Officer, Linda M. Haggerty.
