The Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) plans to award a sole source modification to the existing System of Systems Technical Support (SoSTS) services contract with eScience and Technology Solutions, Inc. This modification is intended to extend the current contract (M68909-13-D-7646) for six months, from September 30, 2017, to March 29, 2018, to continue providing specialized engineering and test & evaluation support for the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) system of systems. The extension is necessary to avoid service interruption during the Marine Air Ground Task Force C4I Capability Certification Testing (MC3T), given unanticipated acquisition delays. The justification for sole source award under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii) is that only eScience and Technology Solutions, Inc. can provide the required services without causing unacceptable mission delays. This contract falls under the NAICS code 541512 and is managed by the Department of Defense's Supply Officer located at Camp Pendleton, California. The action utilizes the option to extend services clause (FAR 52.217-8) and is categorized as an 8(a) competed contract. Key points of contact for this procurement are Contract Specialist Jon D. Aaron and Contracting Officer Sandra L. Ingram. The contract modification serves as a temporary measure to ensure uninterrupted technical support critical to ongoing MAGTF certification activities at Camp Pendleton.
