Full Description

The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific, hereby publicizes its intention to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Glenair, Inc., 1211 Air Way, Glendale, CA 91201-2497. The potential vendor will provide Part Number 0212667-1, three head Tacan Cables for Ships Signal Exploitation Equipment Inc. F Project. The cable provides system interoperability connections with existing shipboard equipment for installation aboard a DDG-119 class ship. The anticipated delivery date on the requirement will be on or before August 25th, 2016. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive for competitive proposals/quotes. Purchase Order to be awarded IAW Simplified Acquisition FAR Part 13. No hard copy RFQ will be prepared or made available for distribution. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a Brand Name procurement. Be advised that the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing that it can fulfill the requirement of providing these supplies may be considered by the agency. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis, and must clearly show the firm's ability to be immediately responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of supplies provided.
