The Maine Air National Guard, 101st Security Forces Squadron (101 SFS) has a requirement for the acquisition of tactical communication headsets. This acquisition is being conducted as a Brand Name or Equal procurement. The brand name standard is the 3M Peltor COMTAC series headset.

Any alternative product submitted as an "or Equal" must meet or exceed the following salient characteristics, which have been established as the minimum requirements of the Government:
