AI Contract Overview
The contract specifies the procurement of electrical insulation tape meeting MIL-T-22755 Type II standards, with dimensions of 2.000 inches in width, 60 feet in length, and a thickness of 0.0150 inches, shipped in rolls as the unit of issue. A total of seven rolls are required, with delivery due within five days FOB origin and no variance allowed in quantity. Inspection and acceptance occur at the destination, and packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E, including preservation methods, containment labeling, and marking per MIL-STD-129 with special shelf-life code 32 indicating a non-extendable 12-month shelf life for this Type I hazardous material code H item. The item is not classified as hazardous per HMIC review, eliminating the need for a Safety Data Sheet. Strict sampling protocols require zero non-conformances under MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ Z1331 plans, with critical, major, and minor attributes assigned verification levels VII, IV, and II respectively. Mercury or mercury-containing compounds are prohibited from direct contact with the product unless part of approved functional components like batteries or sensors, and any portable devices containing mercury must include shock-proof construction and secondary containment per NAVSEA 5100-003D. All items must be physically marked per MIL-T-22755 Revision B and palletized in compliance with DLA packaging requirements. The solicitation number is SPE4A6-26-T-39X2, issued by the Department of Defense’s ASC Commodities Division, with response deadlines and technical specifications governed by the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements referenced in the contract.
