1.1 Title
Evaluation of the National Action Plan to Prevent and Address Gender-Based Violence, 2021-22 to 2025-26.
1.2 Introduction
An evaluation of the National Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence (NAP to End GBV) is required, per: the Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) Departmental Five-Year Evaluation Plan (2024-25 to 2028-29); commitments made in the Treasury Board submission from 2022 for the NAP to End GBV; and commitments made in bilateral funding agreements between federal-provincial/territorial governments.
1.3 Objectives of the Requirement
The purpose of this evaluation is to: assess the NAP to End GBV in relation to core evaluation issues, which may include effectiveness, efficiency, and design and delivery; identify insights, promising practices, and lessons learned; and generate evidence to inform the implementation of the remaining years of the 10-year NAP to End GBV.
As required under the TBS Policy on Results (2016), the evaluation is expected to provide federal and provincial/territorial governments, central agencies, senior management, ministers, parliamentarians, and Canadians with a credible and neutral evaluation of the NAP to End GBV.
This evaluation will focus on the period 2023 to 2025-26. The results of the evaluation are to be produced by March 30, 2027.
