On an as and when requested basis, through the issuance of Task Authorizations (TAs). Canada Border Services Agency’s Information Management (IM)/Information Technology (IT) seeks contractors ready to provide informatics professional services on an “as and when requested” basis to support Cyber Security, Risk Assessment and Consultation (CSRAC) overall IT security risk management services to ensure a secure IT working environment within the Agency. The objective of the work is to ensure the protection of CBSA and CBSA client’s Data and systems from cyber attacks and data theft, both for existing data, systems and applications and those under development. This will support the CSRAC technical security service through the analysis of existing IT security business, operations and security requirements; the administration of IT Security Project Management services; and the application of the SA&A Information System Security implementation Process (ISSIP) activities. CSRAC must ensure all existing and upcoming systems and changes reflect the appropriate level of security controls to minimize attacks (both internal and external) and errors. Additionally, these services and activities will be applied to system and network level IT solutions ranging from individual workstations and applications to enterprise level IT services. As those attempting to breach or compromise CBSA systems and data, as threat actors utilize new methods and tools to circumvent current security controls, we must continuously renew our controls and implement tools to both protect (our systems and data) and to detect attempts at incursions.
