Natural Resource Canada (NRCan) requires the services of IT Security professional services contractors on an “as and
when requested” basis to support a variety of projects within the Chief Information Officer Branch (CIOB) and other
groups within the Department, by providing support for IT security governance, risk management, security compliance,
assessment, and mitigation services to augment and bolster the existing IT cyber security team in NRCan when required.
The requested services will help to ensure the protection of NRCan data and information systems from cyber-attacks and
data theft for existing and future systems, including the alignment of information security best practices to meet
department objectives. This work will directly support CIOSB’s technical IT security services through the analysis of
existing security governance, operations, risk management and compliance practices
