GAC is headquartered in Ottawa, and maintains a presence throughout Canada in regional offices and a network of trade commissioners working in International Trade Offices across the country. Outside Canada, GAC operates an extensive network of missions (embassies, high commissions, and consulates), honorary consulates, and other representational offices. As part of these efforts, the Department provides a wide array of programs and services both in-person and online and has a goal to provide the best service experience possible to its stakeholders by leveraging the most modern technology. As part of the Digital Strategy GAC has introduced the Digital Mission Model (DMM) initiative. DMM Will ensure that GAC’s data and systems are protected from cyber security threats – enhancing our overall posture as we enable users. This is a significant shift that will require the department to embrace new technologies, including adoption of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) computing and zero-trust principles. This initiative is intended to demonstrate that we can successfully improve user experience, while also enhancing the department’s security posture and optimizing the international network costs. GAC requires support services, specifically the services of a Level 3 Project Executive, a Level 3 Project Manager and a Level 3 Business Analyst to ensure the successful delivery of the DMM initiative.
