Description of Work:
The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) has identified requirements for IM/IT professional services, at the Secret Security Level. Multiple resources (up to three (3)) specializing in various architecture services will be required to contribute to the IM/IT transformation initiatives for the Desktop Modernization programme; such as senior Informatics Professional resources with knowledge and experience supporting and assisting with Protected B compliant Cloud Engineering, Architecture, Deployment, Security and System Administration, in accordance with the Government of Canada Security Control Profile for Cloud-based GC Services (Government of Canada Security Control Profile for Cloud-based GC Services - Canada.ca)
The purpose of these services is to augment and advise departmental resources in the execution of departmental IM/IT Cloud initiatives managed by the Information.
The SISE Division will fulfill its mandate to provide services to the existing endpoint and implement a cloud managed desktop utilizing the new data centre and leveraging these changes to access applications in order to both be ready for new IT consumption models - such as Cloud services - AND to facilitate how the various elements work together to reduce risk for the organization. SISE will:
• Provide a holistic and integrated view of core/foundational IT evolution;
• Integrate the technology backbone to deliver the present while preparing for the future;
• Ensure DFATD has up-to-date, easy to access and easy to consume foundational systems; and
• Decreases the risk associated with modernization/ replacement/ upgrades
Currently there is no incumbent providing the services outlined in this solicitation
