This solicitation is for the Tiffin Developmental Centers’ Arkansas and Maintenance Buildings exterior masonry repairs, tuck point, and sealing Second Round
Due to the OhioBuys system being down during the original bid submittal period, this solicitation is being posted for a second round. An additional site visit has been scheduled for those suppliers that were not in attendance during the initial site visit. The site visit is scheduled for 3/11/2026 at 10:00 AM in order to view the exact scope of work of the Arkansas and Maintenance Buildings exterior masonry repairs, tuck point, and sealing project and any additional requirements.Bidder is required to complete the item grid, attach an electronic copy of their formal written quote detailing the scope of work and proposed rates. In addition all required forms (listed under attachments) must be attached within the solicitation in OhioBuys. Quotes must remain effective throughout the term of the agreement.Bids will be evaluated, and the contract for services will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the agency.

Maintenance Building calls for the stone to be demoed and repaired with SIKA VOH. VOH can only be used in lifts of 3”. Please confirm if we are only to repair the face of the stone with VOH? If not please provide an alternative product solution. #3. Is there to be new flashing installed at maintenance building where the stone cornice is to be rebuilt? #4. All lintels appear to be rusted and need replacement. Please confirm no work is to be done to the lintels at the Arkansas and Maintenance building. | Answer: #1. The RFQ Document attached in the solicitation specifies Square Yardage Measurements, Multiply these measurements by 9 for your Square Footage measurement.#2. Yes, Repair only the faces with VOH#3. Yes, a new metal cap over brick parapet should be installed only that elevation of building.#4. All exposed window header lintels should have rust compaction ground between steel and masonry then weeps installed at both jams and in the center of lintel and caulked between masonry and steel.
