The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) plans to issue a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order to Tecan U.S., Inc. for the annual maintenance of Tecan Plate Washers. The selected vendor will perform essential services including lamp replacement, operational quality checks, and equipment calibration, all managed by trained personnel. This sole source procurement is justified due to the proprietary nature of the software and its integration into the existing laboratory processes, making Tecan U.S., Inc. uniquely qualified to perform these services. The procurement will be conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures authority, FAR 13.106-1(b). Although this action is not a competitive solicitation, the CDC invites all interested and responsible parties to submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation within five days of the notice issuance. These submissions will be reviewed to help determine whether a competitive process is necessary, but the decision to forego competition rests solely with the government. Responses are to be emailed to the contract specialist, Shamike Bethea, by April 29, 2026, at 3:00 pm EST. The effort falls under NAICS code 811210 and will be performed in Atlanta, Georgia, with support contact available for follow-up.
