Technical Support of Maintenance, Inspections, and Repairs of Environmental Chambers along with associated Conditioners and Pre-Conditioners

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH), Division of Laboratory Sciences Tobacco and Volatiles Branch, intends to negotiate a sole source award to Parameter Generation and Control (PGC), Black Mountain, NC 28711, for the project entitled "Technical Support of Maintenance, Inspections, and Repairs of Environmental Chambers along with associated Conditioners and Pre-Conditioners." This acquisition will be processed under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12, Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures as stated in FAR part 13.106-1(b)(1) and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). The North American Industry Classification System code is 333415 and the business size standard is 750. This will be awarded as a firm fixed price type contract. The performance period is one 12-month base period and four option periods (12 months each) if exercised. For these reasons, it is necessary to use PGC to meet the Agency's recurring requirement. As the manufacturer of the custom built equipment installed at the Division of Laboratory Sciences Tobacco and Volatiles Branch, Atlanta, GA, Parameter Generation and Control provides factory-trained technicians and access to manufacturer's parts and the latest proprietary software updates. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, the government will consider all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
