Telecom Network Infrastructure Services for Mobile Radio Sites and Telecom Tower Services

The British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority has issued Notice to Vendors NTV 25199 as a preliminary announcement for an upcoming procurement opportunity, RFP 24043, regarding Telecom Network Infrastructure Services. The scope of work focuses on the inspection, maintenance, and renewal of mobile radio sites and microwave tower infrastructure across British Columbia, including remote and complex environments. Key requirements include providing warehouse capabilities for equipment pre-staging, transporting and installing prefabricated infrastructure such as helipads and shelters, integrating batteries and antennas, and performing tower audits and repair call-outs. The selected providers will also be responsible for supplying miscellaneous materials and coordinating project management with other contractors, such as helicopter service providers. BC Hydro intends to award contracts to approximately two to four suppliers overall, with up to two suppliers per service scope. The anticipated agreements will feature an initial five-year term, with potential extensions for up to ten additional years, totaling a potential term of fifteen years. Preferred suppliers should demonstrate strong telecommunications expertise, a commitment to safety and quality, and specific organizational experience working with electric utilities. While this notice is not a formal call for tenders, interested parties are encouraged to submit a response form to Ana Palmero. The formal RFP is expected to be released in November 2026 via the BC Bid platform.
