309th SMXG/PZIMC intends to issue a sole source contract to a purchase Wideband Systems Inc. for spares and cables. Wideband Systems DRS8500X Wideband Telemetry Recorder provides the ITIPS project with the ability to process flight data while recording real time test flights. Operating system update to bring our prototype system up to date with the production system. ITIPS requires a telemetry recorder capable of interfacing with existing ICBM test flight historic tapes which require a Wideband Systems Inc. (WSI) proprietary format. Wideband Systems Inc. Notice to Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to the contractor Wideband Systems Inc. The solicitation will be posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ under solicitation number F2DCCF4245A002 on 3 October 2014. This requirement is considered sole source due to the fact the Wideband Systems Inc that the weapon system consoles have to be the exact part number and design as the prototype system.
