The terminal lug is a source-controlled item requiring manufacture and testing in strict compliance with limited rights data that the government cannot provide; only vendors with direct access to this data or traceability to approved sources may quote. A SAR package is mandatory for companies seeking source approval. The item must meet all technical and quality specifications referenced in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with applicable revisions governed by the solicitation or RFP issue date, or any subsequent amendment. Sampling must follow MIL-STD-1916, ASQ H1331 Table 1, or an equivalent zero-based plan, with critical, major, and minor attributes assigned verification levels VII, IV, and II or AQLs of 0.1, 1.0, and 4.0 respectively; unspecified attributes are treated as major.
