The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking contractors to provide blasting, cleaning, surface preparation, and recoating services for eleven large Drum Gates and associated pier plates at Grand Coulee Dam in Okanogan County, Washington. The work involves the complete containment and approved disposal of paint and blast media potentially containing heavy metals, as well as the removal and replacement of foam flotation blocks and protective coatings. The project is planned as a requirements contract over up to five years, with construction activities scheduled between March and June each year beginning in 2013, potentially covering two to three gates annually. The solicitation will be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 237990, with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. Interested contractors must submit specific company and experience information by May 7, 2012, and are invited to participate in a mandatory site visit planned for late April, where safety gear and security screening are required. The site visit is critical due to the confined space nature of the work, requiring contractors to bring their own protective equipment such as harnesses and hard hats to gain access inside the drum gates. Attendance is limited to three representatives per company, with strict vetting and escort procedures in place. Contractors must register ahead of time to participate, with the contact point provided for scheduling and confirmation. The solicitation aims to ensure contractors are fully familiar with site conditions, regulatory requirements, and the scope of work before bidding. Photos of the drum gates are also available to assist potential bidders in understanding the project’s challenges and requirements. Questions related to the contract can be directed to the designated points of contact at the Bureau of Reclamation.

Solicitation # PANNWD26P0000030936
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, is conducting market research for the Bank Stabilization and Navigation Program to identify qualified contractors capable of performing complex riverine construction work along the Missouri River, from River Mile 0 near St. Louis, Missouri, to River Mile 553 near Nebraska City, Nebraska. The work involves constructing, modifying, or repairing stone dikes, revetments, bank paving, revetment overlays, and excavation of notches, all of which must be executed using floating equipment due to the absence of land access. The Government plans to establish a Multiple-Award Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Task Order Contract with a combined ceiling of $50 million, consisting of a three-year base period and a two-year optional ordering period. The North American Industry Classification System code is 237990, with a small business size standard of $45 million, and businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond, though small, 8(a), HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, and women-owned businesses are specifically encouraged to participate, as responses will inform potential set-asides. Respondents must submit a ten-page capability statement detailing their business size, UEI and CAGE codes, bonding capacity, experience with similar projects completed in the last five years, subcontracting arrangements, and joint venture structure, along with organizational contact information. All submissions must be provided electronically in Word or PDF format by the deadline of 12 p.m. CDT on June 1, 2026, to the designated contract specialist and contracting officer.
