Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET) ProjectNASA's Goddard Space Flight Center seeks to acquire several models of the CIMEL CE318-T family of Sun-Sky-Lunar Spectral Photometers, along with essential parts for repair, maintenance, and upgrades of photometers, tracking robots, and advanced control boxes. These instruments are critical for monitoring aerosol optical properties and support NASA's global climate change and satellite validation initiatives. The acquisition will take place under a sole-source, Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with CIMEL ELECTRONIQUE, the sole provider capable of meeting the AERONET program's specific requirements. The contract will span five years, reflecting the unique status of these photometers as the standardized instrumentation in the Aerosol Robotic Network, which has been operational for over three decades. The procurement adheres to FAR Part 12 for the acquisition of commercial products or services, justified under 10 U.S.C 3204(a)(1) due to the absence of alternative sources capable of meeting NASA's technical and scheduling needs. While this is a sources-sought notice, responses from interested parties will only influence whether NASA proceeds with a competitive acquisition. The solicitation is managed by NASA Goddard’s Contracting Specialist, with capabilities and qualifications due by June 23, 2026. This effort supports NASA's commitment to maintaining a consistent, long-term aerosol data set, critical for climate research and satellite validation, with no viable substitute vendors available.

Nitrogen and Dry-Air Generator for LC-MS ApplicationsThe Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) is seeking quotes for a firm fixed-price contract to procure one LNI Swissgas NGA CASTORE XL 40.40 Membrane Nitrogen Generator to support laboratory analytical testing at Naval Medical Research Unit Dayton. This equipment is essential for delivering a continuous, high-purity nitrogen gas stream required by Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) instruments. The generator must meet specific technical criteria, including a minimum nitrogen output of 40 L/min at up to 99.9% purity, dry-air output of 40 L/min, and pressures suitable for either 220–240 VAC or universal 115–240 VAC configurations. It must operate quietly (≤50 dB), have a compact footprint, and feature integrated controls with remote monitoring capabilities. The system includes an oil-less compressor and must be fully self-contained without the need for facility compressed air. The procurement follows an unrestricted Request for Quote (RFQ) under NAICS code 334516, open to all responsible vendors registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) with a Cage Code and Unique Entity Identification Number. The contract will be awarded based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable offer. The generator includes a 15-month limited warranty valid in the contiguous US and Canada, provided by the manufacturer. The place of performance is Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and responses are due by June 20, 2026. Points of contact for this procurement include representatives from the Naval Medical Research Center and the Air Force.

The University of Western Ontario is inviting suppliers to submit proposals for the supply and installation of a new Dynamic Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer (SIMS) to replace an aging instrument currently operated by Surface Science Western. The facility serves both academic and industrial research needs, requiring a high-performance instrument capable of analyzing a broad range of samples—such as minerals, metals, coatings, polymers, and semiconductors—with sensitivity to trace elements at parts per million to parts per billion levels. Key features of the desired instrument include advanced imaging capabilities, high-resolution mass spectrometry, dual ion sources (oxygen and cesium), flexible analysis modes, effective charge compensation, an oxygen flood gun, cooling systems for enhanced light element detection, and a transfer system suitable for air-sensitive samples. It must also manage molecular interferences through various technical options. The procurement process is an open tender method with a submission deadline of May 15, 2026, and an estimated budget nearing CAD $5.9 million plus HST. Interested suppliers must submit their proposals electronically through the University’s Bonfire portal, adhering to detailed submission requirements including technical questionnaires, pricing forms, and documentation on experience, sustainability, and accessibility compliance. The tender is governed by Canadian free trade agreements ensuring open competition, and the contract duration extends through delivery and fulfillment of obligations, with delivery expected in Fall 2026. Post-evaluation, Western may negotiate with shortlisted suppliers. Complete tender documents are available online and provide comprehensive details about mandatory criteria, scoring, and additional contractual options.

Description: The RFP is an invitation to submit offers for the provision of The Supply and Install of a Dynamic Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer), as further described herein. Surface Science Western (SSW) at Western University currently operates a Dynamic Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer (CAMECA IMS 3f). The proposed instrument would replace the aging current instrument. SSW is a facility that performs both academic research and industrial services, and the proposed instrument needs to be able to support both areas. This includes routine analysis of material containing trace elements (parts per million/parts per billion) in a large variety of samples. Examples of such samples include mineralogical material, metals, corrosion products, coatings, polymers, and semiconductors. The instrument should also have state-of-the-art imaging capabilities, high-resolution mass spectrometer, can be operated using both oxygen and cesium ion sources, allows for analysis in spot mode and raster mode, has robust charge compensation, an oxygen flood gun, and built-in means to cool down the sample chamber to improve detection of light elements. In addition, the instrument should have a transfer system to handle air-sensitive samples. The instrument should be able to handle molecular interferences for samples using several options such as secondary voltage offset, high mass resolution, and different types and polarities of ion sputter sources.
