The LSS FOLs seek to purchase Thermo Scientific Gemini Chemical Identification Analyzer handheld instruments that are a combination of the Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer and Raman Spectrometer analytical techniques. These analyzers will further assist LSS’s mission to provide laboratory-based field support to their stakeholders, Office of Field Operations (OFO), Office of Trade (OT), United States Border Patrol (USBP), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and Air and Marine Operations (AMO), along with other federal or local law enforcement entities to target illicit drug trafficking, trade classification needs, and enforce antidumping and countervailing (AD/CV) operations.
