This contract involves the procurement of a single unit of a thermometer with an indicating capillary tube and bulb, specifically identified by NSN 6685-01-274-8871 and manufacturer's part number 41GP-Y00G-F35Y from Ashcroft Inc. The delivery schedule requires the item to be shipped within 20 days, delivered FOB origin, and inspected and accepted at the destination. Packaging and marking must comply with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) standards, including MIL-STD-2073-1E for packaging and MIL-STD-129 for marking, with special attention to delicate instrument coding and mercury prohibition in all preservation, packaging, and marking phases. A temporary tag must be affixed to each item, identifying contract details and rated accuracy without interfering with its use. The contract enforces strict quality and technical requirements as outlined in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with detailed sampling and inspection criteria governed by MIL-STD-1916, ASQ H1331, and other referenced standards ensuring zero defects in acceptance samples. Mercury or mercury-containing compounds are prohibited unless specified exceptions apply. Shipping instructions dictate expedited traceable methods, explicitly excluding parcel post, with delivery directed to the USS Gunston Hall LSD 44 at FPO AE 09573. The solicitation is managed by the Department of Defense’s ASC Supplier OEM Division, with a response deadline for bids by late May 2026, reflecting a simplified acquisition process under NAICS code 334512.
