Full Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Okay Industries, 200 Ellis Street, New Britain, Connecticut 06051 under RFQ0271136618. Okay Industries will provide High Performance Select (HPS) 30 round magazines for Colt M4 pattern carbines currently used by the FBI. Okay Industries is the sole source provider of magazines to Colt Defense LLC. Okay Industries is the only source capable of providing these HPS 30 round magazines compatible with Colt weapons currently used by the FBI. These magazines and carbines are used in a variety of different high risk assignments by FBI personnel both CONUS and OCONUS. During these assignments, there is a high probability of a deadly force encounter. The Bureau issued weapons and magazines must perform flawlessly to reduce the chances of injury or death to Bureau personnel. The continued use of Colt weapon parts ensures the integrity of the warranty provided by Colt Defense LLC at the time of weapon purchase. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may submit a capability statement no later than August 13, 2013, at 12:00PM (EST) to Point of Contact Debora P.
