AI Contract Overview
The Government intends to acquire parts for the AH-64 Apache weapon system through an addition to an existing Long Term Contract (LTC SPRPA1-22-D-001U) awarded to The Boeing Company. This contract is a Firm Fixed Price with Price Redetermination and Indefinite Quantity contract. Specifically, the procurement covers wing assemblies with National Stock Numbers 1560-01-658-4942 and 1560-01-658-3454, each associated with specific part numbers and production lead times ranging from 1000 to 1360 days depending on whether First Article Testing (FAT) is included. These items are restricted to Boeing due to proprietary data rights that the Government does not possess, making it uneconomical to source or reverse engineer these parts from other suppliers. All interested firms must meet prequalification requirements and are encouraged to seek source approval through the Army Aviation Manufacturing Contracting (AvMC) website. Although all responsible sources may submit offers, the opportunity is not set aside for any specific group, and foreign firms must route their solicitation requests through their embassies. Requests for solicitation must be made in writing via email to the designated Contract Specialist, with no telephone requests accepted. The solicitation posted on May 13, 2026, has an estimated closing date of May 28, 2026, with deliveries specified to be made to Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania. The contract is managed by DLA Aviation at Huntsville, Alabama.
