RENK America, LLC has been awarded Firm-Fixed Price Contract W912CH-26-D-0056 for the provision of transmissions and ancillary hardware to support the THOR IV program, which serves multiple military vehicle platforms including the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle, Bradley Fighting Vehicle, Multiple Launch Rocket System, Paladin Integrated Management Vehicle, and the Integrated Logistics Support Center. The contract requires RENK to deliver new, remanufactured, upgraded, repaired, and spare transmissions along with platform-specific components such as the Redesigned Transmission Control Module, Shift Towers, and Transmission Electronically Controlled Cables, ensuring continued operational readiness across these critical systems. The award was made under a sole-source authority due to the uniqueness of RENK’s capabilities and the absence of alternative suppliers capable of meeting the Department of Defense’s specific requirements, as justified under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and implemented through FAR 6.302-1. The contract action was officially posted on June 25, 2026, with performance centered in Muskegon, Michigan, while administrative oversight is managed by the Office of the Department of Defense located in Warren, Michigan. The primary point of contact is Nicholas Moons, with Dane J. Hansen serving as the secondary liaison, both reachable through official U.S. Army email addresses. The NAICS code 336350 reflects the classification within the Motor Vehicle Parts Manufacturing industry, and although a Class Justification and Approval document was approved on September 4, 2024, it remains pending redaction and public posting. No set-aside status applies to this award, which was issued under an other-than-full-and-open competition based on singular source authorization.
