AI Contract Overview
TheTHREAD PIECE with part number A316270-3 and NSN 1720-00-625-6112 is being procured under solicitation SPE7M2-26-Q-0647 for a quantity of 27 units, with delivery required within 211 days after award. This contract mandates full and open competition and is governed by the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, which incorporates all R and I numbered specifications referenced herein. The item must comply with stringent quality and configuration management controls, including mandatory inspection and acceptance at origin, and strict requirements for change management via engineering change proposals or variance requests. Prohibitions are in place against the use of ozone-depleting chemicals and the intentional addition of mercury or mercury-containing compounds, except for specific functional applications such as batteries, fluorescent lights, and authorized naval instruments, with additional containment rules applying to portable devices containing mercury. All bare items must be clearly marked with the contract number, NAWC CAGE code, and part number unless otherwise dictated by provided technical drawings, and full traceability to NAVAIR aircraft launch and recovery equipment standards is required. The technical data associated with this item is subject to export control under either ITAR or EAR, and its disclosure to foreign nationals—whether domestic or abroad—is strictly regulated. Access to this controlled data is restricted to DLA contractors who hold an approved US/Canada Joint Certification Program certification, have completed mandatory DOD export control training, and have received formal approval from DLA to handle such data. DFARS 252.225-7048 applies, and compliance with all export control obligations is non-negotiable. The solicitation was posted on July 20, 2026, with a response deadline of July 26, 2026, and the point of contact is Victoria Payne of the Department of Defense’s Nuclear Reactor Program, with performance location in Tracy, California. All deliverables must align precisely with referenced technical drawings and regulatory requirements without exception.
