Nature of Requirements:
The TIC3 Air Project aims to modernize the current Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) voice, data, and video communication infrastructure and provide additional data link communication infrastructure to enable effective battlespace management and provide increased situational awareness.
These multipurpose capabilities will allow the Air Force the flexibility to respond to a variety of circumstances across a spectrum of activity and conflict including:
• humanitarian assistance • disaster relief • peacekeeping • domestic, joint/combined, and expeditionary missions
The Department of National Defence has an acquisition requirement to: a. Replace existing Air Traffic Management (ATM) Ground/Air/Ground (G/A/G) radios with modern, IP-based reliable ATM G/A/G radios along with applicable ancillaries and accessories; and b. Replace existing Canadian Air Defence Radio System (CADRS) G/A/G radios with modern, reliable, IP-based Air Defence (AD) G/A/G radios along with applicable ancillaries and accessories; The acquisition includes system testing, and Installation and Commission Support to implement the system upgrade over a phased period; as well as extended warranty coverages.
